Caroline Tucker, Intern
Therapist, Master’s Level Intern
Caroline works with adults who feel worn down by burnout, anxiety, addiction, relationship strain, and the ongoing pressure of work and life demands. Many of her clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by expectations, or stuck in patterns that no longer fit. Caroline believes meaningful healing grows from insight, courage, and a willingness to gently question old ways of coping. Her goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to move toward clarity and lasting change.
Her therapeutic style is warm, intuitive, and grounded, balanced with a strong sense of practicality. Caroline draws primarily from Psychodynamic Therapy to explore deeper root causes and long-standing patterns, alongside Narrative Therapy, which helps clients step back from self-critical stories and re-author the way they understand themselves and their lives. She also integrates elements of CBT, DBT, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring her approach to each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.
Caroline has a deep understanding of the emotional terrain of burnout, perimenopause, cultural adjustment, and major life transitions. Having personally navigated addiction recovery, profound loss, and a significant mid-life career shift from corporate life into counselling, she brings empathy that is lived, authentic, and deeply human.
Originally from New Zealand, Caroline brings a global perspective (and her accent) into her work. She is especially passionate about supporting people through addiction recovery, grief, relationship challenges, mid-life plot twists, and identity shake-ups. Caroline is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
